Our history
Our story begins with our parent company, Oz Candles. Many people approached them with a request for customised candles. And so to meet and exceed market expectations, Candle Candle was born.
1977~ 1982
Oz Candles started as “Frankenwax & Candlestein”, selling candles at St. Kilda’s Sunday markets. We then opened our first candle store in Hawthorn in 1978, where we showed people how to get the best out of the candles they were buying. And after 4 years, we moved to Maldon in central Victoria to keep up with demand whilst also renaming ourselves to “Oz Cottage”.
1986 - 2012
In 1986, in order to keep up with demand, we started looking for a bigger and more technologically advanced premises. In 1987, we found a location that did just that whilst also maintaining our traditional identity and soul. This was the “The Old Butter Factory” in Newstead. We would stay here for the next 21 years until 2008, where we would move to Bendigo and rebranded to “Oz Candles”
2013 - Now
Through years of experience, we have built a logistics network that makes sure your products get delivered safely to where they need to be and on time.
